Product Description:

Anacron runs the periodic daily, weekly or monthly tasks on your Mac even if the machine (a laptop, for example) spends much of its time either asleep or switched-off. Anacron checks when you reboot and every sixty minutes while the machine is running and to see if the various periodic scripts are overdue, and runs them if necessary.

What's new in this version:

This version has been updated for with a Universal binary for both PPC and Intel architectures. It will run on Leopard (MacOS 10.5), but is not needed because the Leopard launchd will correctly run skipped events when the machine is next awake.

Although this works really well, one should note that it is not needed to run the maintenance tasks on OSX 10.4 (Tiger). 10.4.8 has this feature built-in.
