Saft Lite CommentaryUseful, but... - Version: 3.5.0, 12/3/2006 09:04PM PST

This is a really timely and useful addition to Safari's security, but what would make it even better would be the ability to have it remember which sites are OK - for example, my internet banking site transfers me across from the main bank site to its secure internet banking facility. Saft picks this as a phising trip and lets me OK or Block. If I OK it, every action I take thereafter like entering account and PIN information brings up the OK/Block window several times as the window updates, which makes it very difficult to use the website, which I know is correct.

My Safari was really slow and stalling. With the newset sec update it would even open cause of SAFT lite being installed. I trashed it, and safari is way fast and opens now. You can keep this one, there is really no need for it anyway.

Dr.S.
I had to turn the option "Open safe files after downloading" in Safari's preferences ("General" pane) ON when I wanted Safari Lite enabled. Fore more information and corresponding test files see http://secunia.com/mac_os_x_command_execution_vulnerability_test and www.heise.de/english/newsticker/news/69862
I apologize to everybody for revising this post several times (typos) and thank the developers for this smart plugin!
