Product Description:

The scripting on at TinyURL (www.tinyurl.com) does not leave the resulting TinyURL on the clipboard as it does with Internet Explorer for Windows. This script collects the TinyURL for the page being viewed and leaves it on the clipboard.

What's new in this version:

  • Fixes bug that truncated URLs containing ampersands.
  • Added TinyMe Clipboard, a companion script that takes a URL from the clipboard and replaces it with the corresponding TinyURL.
Both changes courtesy of Eric Geddes.

TinyMe ReviewWorks great - Version: 1.1, 7/19/2006 07:32AM PST

This app is a welcome tool for long URLs. Yahoo Mail, for example, sometimes may break long URLs with a lne feed that thus makes them un-usable. This has happened to me more than once. Nothing could be easier than to invoke this script and almost instantly have a TinyURL.

This is a handy little script and a nice, simple example of scripting a web query too. Thanks!
