Product Description:

Widget Manager is a Preference Pane for OSX 10.4 that allows you to inspect, remove, and disable Dashboard Widgets. Widget Manager is a convenient way to manage all the Widgets on your system, including the standard Apple Widgets. Since it handles removing the .wdgt file as well as restarting Dashboard, Widget Manager eliminates Dashboard display issues when you remove a Widget by hand, and is also a great defense against potentially harmful Widgets.

Widget Manager shows you Widget information, such as the version number, so you know when it's time to look for updates. It can also disable Widgets you don't want cluttering up the Widget bar, but don't necessarily want to delete, either.

What's new in this version:

Version 1.1.0 includes several improvements and fixes:

Widget table distinguishes between Apple and third party widgets.
Widget table shows the path to the .wdgt file.
Double-clicking a widget will launch it in Dashboard.
Ability to reveal the .wdgt file in Finder.
Dock is no longer restarted each time a widget is removed or disabled. When you close Widget Manager, you will be asked if you wish to restart the dock. (restarting the dock will reload any installed widgets, and prevents the situation where Dashboard shows a widget which doesn't really exist.)
Restarting the Dock is improved; this should fix a rare bug where the Dock would not automatically restart for some users.
Widget table can be sorted and filtered.
Many small improvements and fixes.

Download DashOffOn - twin automator applications to turn the Dashboard off and on.

Seems simple to me! Download, double click, accept the install, voila a list of my widgets that I can enable, disable and delete plus location data. Pretty simple. Perhaps some other features would be nice if I could think of any?!

Do NOT use VersionTracker Pro to install this version. It links to an unusable text file. Use the Download button up here and read the ReadMe file. Upgrading requires that you remove the old pref pane first (right-click on it).
