Why would anyone pay for this? Useless Creations indeed.

Ok. So I downloaded yer <tm scottso> Matrix3D screensaver. I read the readme file and it said you needed $7.50 US to keep annoying popups propigating after the 30 day trial because you needed to buy a MAC to write the program, and you need to defray yer costs.
Fine.
I do not wish to use yer program and I want to remove yer program from my computer but I do not have rights.
Please tell me how to delete yer program from my machine.
Regards,
Scott Conner

Quite customizable, and quite slick

While other similar screensavers (such as RedPill) are free, this one offers several more customization options, which make it a real stand-out, IMHO. The only one which comes close to this is MatrixGL - which, unfortunately, doesn't work on Intel systems.
If you want a bit slicker display than RedPill offers, along with a boatload of additional customization options, give this screensaver a try. I think it's worth the small shareware fee, for the Intel-native release, if nothing else. Also, check out the developer's site for several other unique screensavers.
** Note that VersionTracker has the version identifier wrong: The current release (linked to here) is actually version 1.0.5, which is, indeed, Intel-native.

I'm sure the developers did a great job creating a good product, but--
If you do a search for "Red Pill" on versiontracker, you'll find a FANTASTIC, loyal-to-the-film, and customizable Matrix screensaver that is impossible to beat. It's also FREE.
And no, I don't work for the developers of Red Pill. I just think it's the best Matrix screensaver out there. That's just my two cents, so it's up to you!

I found it very difficult to tweak the colors on my 10.3.9 2x2Ghz G5. I got the beach ball numerous times while trying to set color options in Screensaver System Preferences. I had to force quit, probably a dozen times trying to 'set' it. I look forward to an update, but I paid my $5 because it is a great saver. I am interested to know what other options we can look forward to (see the Windows parity references by the previous reviewer.)
Glad to see this ported to the Mac!

I have registered the Windows version of this screensaver, as it is the best version I've ever seen. Now all we need is to have all of the Windows features added to the Mac version.
I've also registered the Mac version to support the author. He actually listens to his customers, and his updates are free to registered users. His work is well worth five bucks.
As soon as the two versions reach parity, I'll up the review stars to five.

Nice looking - but not worth money.

This is a nifty screensaver, but - trust me here - there are PLENTY of cool screensavers out there that are free. This is not worth $5.00.
this one. It works fine in snow leopard and looks great. Has options for setting glyph size,
number of lines, how fast they fall, 2D and 3D modes, it can even take photos from a folder
and make ASCII versions of them with the falling glyphs. There are other reviews that are
negative here, but I think this is a great screensaver and I paid for it.
