Product Description:

This little utility moves to trash one or more files or folders dropped on it. You can add it to the sidebar of a Finder window or leave it on the desktop.

What's new in this version:

The disks dropped onto SideTrash are ejected.

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.4 PPC
  • Mac OS X 10.3.9
  • Mac OS X 10.3

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.3 or higher
Except for the sidebar function this utility should work on Mac OS X 10.2, but no test has been done.

SideTrash Troubleshooting ReportBizarro Behavior In 10.2.8. - Version: 1.1, 12/4/2006 08:01PM PST

Rather than moving items to the real trash in 10.2.8, all the 'droplet' does is maniacally eat up all the CPU cycles it can grab. It has to be force quit from inside Process Viewer. Stick to using it in 10.3+

SideTrash Troubleshooting ReportCannot get my copy to work? - Version: 1.1, 8/2/2005 10:23AM PST

I have tried Side Trash on two separate systems, both running very cleaning, all maintainenece done regularly and Side Trash does not work on either one?

I am sure it is on my end judging from all the positive feedback, but I am not sure what to try. I put a copy on my desktop and in my sidebar, but when I drag items to the icon, nothing happens.

Well, really what happened is that it worked on both systems the first time!, then that was it.

Any thoughts appreciated,

Henry
