Product Description:
iController is an iTunes controller for the status bar. iController also flashes the current artist and track name in the center of the screen when iTunes changes tracks. During playback the artist and track name are also scrolled over the controls in the status bar. The track displaying features are controllable via the preferences panel.
What's new in this version:
- Now, when moving the mouse over the controls the scrolling text disappears revealing the controls.
- There is a new volume control accessible from the controls in the menu bar.
- Global hot keys to control play/pause, next/previous and volume., configurable from the prefs panel.

I'm using 0.5 for months and like it a lot. When I installed 0.6b song title pop-up stopped working. Guess I'll restore back to 0.5.

Says it comes with a full-featured pref pane but I can't find it, the download only gives me the app and a readme. Says it has hot keys but I have no idea what they are. I like the idea of it not taking up screen real estate (like the otherwise excellent Sizzling Keys) but would like to be able to adjust the width of the scrolling text. Also I'd like it to show album title as well as song and artist.

With that said, fortunately, after an entire day of searching, I found an alternative that works flawlessly! Its an unknown Japanese developed app (Translated to English) thats not on VT. The link to the site is "http://homepage.mac.com/kenta6/kTunes/" (You can translate the site in google) and the direct download link is "http://homepage.mac.com/kenta6/kTunes/kTunes-1.4.3.zip"
Trust me, this is an awesome, AND FREE! App that does everything I want. I couldnt be happier!
