Product Description:

KDE Launcher starts X11 and KDE (as installed by Fink) using Apple's X11 but with KDE's native window manager AND working settings, but in way that makes KDE behave like a separate application with its own Dock Icon and its own instance of Apple's X11, and without changing all your otherwise working X11 settings. This makes using KDE more convenient since the user can use the normal Aquafied X11 at the same time completely independently of KDE's X11.

What's new in this version:

Updated as a Universal Binary.

Not universal? - Version: 2.1.3, 3/26/2007 02:50PM PST

Every 2.1.3 that I download won't run on my PPC and Get Info says "Application (Intel)". Is it perhaps not as universal as it should be?

The developement and download site has not been moved. The webserver for the site is hosted on a computer which is a hobby project of mine with the result that I occassionally take it down to tinker with it. When I do I try to remember to redirect all the links to a mirror I maintain at my .Mac account but sometimes the server crashes without me knowing or I forget to redirect the URL.

The main should be working now and most of the time.

Dev site and download links seem to be brokern because the developer moved the whole thing onto a .Mac-account recently: Dev site Download KDE Launcher v. 2.1.2
