Product Description:

ExtremeZ-IP Print Server software adds Macintosh printer sharing to Windows servers. ExtremeZ-IP Print Server is the new, stand-alone product formerly know as âExtremeZ-IP IP Print Supportâ€ that allows Mac and Windows clients to spool and print PostScript jobs to printers and other devices managed by Windows 2003/2000 Servers or Windows XP using the TCP/IP protocol instead of AppleTalk. With better print queue management, simple setup and detailed logging of print jobs, ExtremeZ-IP Print Server replaces Print Services for Macintosh (PSFM) and greatly improves the capabilities and ease of use of the Windows print server. On the Mac desktop, a simple client software integrates seamlessly into the Mac OS X Print Center and the new CUPS printing architecture of the Mac OS X, providing a simple, intuitive interface for configuring and managing print queues.

ExtremeZ-IP CommentaryI really like this product. - Version: 4.2.4, 1/13/2007 10:41PM PST

Were I work we sell ExtremeZ-IP to our customers all the time.
The print server allows you to create a Mac or PC print queues on the Windows where ExtremeZ-ip is running. Those print queues can then print to Appletalk, Windows or save Postscript files to a specified directory.
We use the print to folder feature all the time to create workflows. ExtremeZ-IP is an excellent product and it's worth every cent to those who need this function.

ExtremeZ-IP CommentaryWhat is the purpose? - Version: 4.2.3, 8/18/2006 06:01AM PST

I agree with Bill Dawson. What is the purpose of this product in today's Mac/Windows printing society? A lot of printers handle these features themselves now.

Bill Dawson
For $795 I can buy two printers with a print server built-in with WiFi, USB, Bluetooth and Ethernet connections and throw my Appletalk printer in the trash.

Are you seriously charging $795 and up for this???
