Check Failed Password Attempts ReviewWorks great for me under Tiger - Version: 0.1.9, 11/2/2005 10:31AM PST

Works as advertised. Keep in mind that some OS X utilities wipe out the log file as part of their functionality, so it will only scan what is there.

Under 10.4.1 this goes off looking for log entries...
but it never comes back. Progress bar ad infinitum.

Check Failed Password Attempts Troubleshooting Report"Nothing is logged" - Version: 0.1.7, 4/2/2005 12:12PM PST

New version still reports "Nothing is logged. The secure log file doesn’t exist."

This was after I entered wrong passwords to generate Failed Password Attempts. Where the allegedly missing log should be, I don't know. The program and the author haven't been helpful on this point. Some might get a false sense of security from these results.

The Console log seems to indicate this program secretly depends on a third-party add-on for Applescript called 24U Appearance OSAX. If so, it should be listed in requirements. (It's also quite possible I don't understand any of this!)
