Ok, a popup window to enter a shell command, launch Terminal and observe any side effects would be useful, but there's no hotkey to toggle the command window forward. The author suggests adding Terminalicious (terminally cute, that) to your user startup items. Well, in the immortal words of anyone who has ever watched Gene Kelly tapdance in the rain, "Hey, the guy was a war hero!" Errr, no, that was James Doohan, actually. Anyway, just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you SHOULD do something. Maybe that was Spock... You might like to try entering the following into Terminalicious, assuming your copy of Tiger is properly configured:

fortune -m "Scotty has to report"
