Super! Simple and does what it should.

Working on 3 monitors, the center of which is a 30" Cinema display flanked by a pair of 20" panels, it is all too easy to lose the cursor. The neatest feature of this Preference Panel is the "Trigger Delay". If the mouse is untouched for the set number of minutes, when moving it for the first time the locator rings appear. Very nice! I'd be happy to pay for it. Many thanks to the developer.

... is that cursors centre to the centre of the arrow, not the tip, like most others do. But its simple, sure, great for that. I just have to align the centre of my custom images to the centre, which does take time. I wonder why it is aligned this way, when all others do not.
Can this be changed? Or have the option for where the image aligns to?

Great, but not so great

I use two adjacent 23-inch flat panel displays, and quite often I can't find the mouse cursor, so this software does help, and being free, it's hard to complain!
However I feel it does the wrong thing. What would be better would be a mouse cursor that lights up, or flashes (instead of being surrounded by concentric circles) - and which does this when you shake the mouse, a la xGestures.
As it is, however I tweak the configurations, the luminescent circles just appear too often, and get annoying (doubly annoying, because sometimes you do need it, but only sometimes).
But kudos to the developer for the free software!

Hi all,
I've been using this software for a few years, but recently bought a new MBP with X.10.5.3 installed, and found that Mouse Locator isn't working with it as it did under X.10.4.x. Let's hope the developer is working to make it functional with Leopard!

On some projects I lose track of the cursor, then lose a bit of time mousing around trying to spot the thing. I figured I couldn't be the only person with this problem, and I knew there had to be someone smarter than me who already solved the problem. The search lead me to VersionTracker, and, of course, to Mouse Locator. GREAT little app. Problem solved. Thanks.

What a great little Application. Thank you so much. Works flawlessly. I install it on all my client's machines, and it is really useful when I am using a projector for presentations. I set the Hold function as low as possible, and the delay to about 20 seconds. That means it just flashes up long enough to find the pointer, and doesn't come up continually when I am actively using the mouse.
This is one fantastic must have apps

I don't know what the problem MacOSX has, especially on my MacBook, but almost every time I use the computer, I've got to swirl my trackpad around and around and around until my cursor decides to reveal itself.
THANK YOU!!!

It does not work with CodeTek Virtual Desktop. Works great on desktop designated for the finder. All other desktops it only blinks every few seconds with Mouse Locator set to "Always On".
I recommend this to anyone not using multiple desktops.
