No way to back out - Version: 1.0, 1/21/2006 12:13AM PST

Download links point to the wrong version, 1.0, which installed anyhow. That crashed firefox 1.5 and only way to back out seems to be to reinstall a fresh copy of firefox. Not a big deal, but somewhat sloppy not to do version checking nor to provide an uninstall function.
TIger incompatibility - Version: 1.0, 4/27/2005 10:57AM PST

Unfortunately vers. 1.0 of Lektora doesn't seem to work with 10.4.
I love this app and I feel lost without it now that I can't use it with Tiger.

Lektora does one thing and does it well. I have used NetNewsWire Lite for the past few yearsm but have now switched to Lektora. I especially like how it spares me from showing me unread articles, allowing me to actually see the new ones. The newspaper approach is nice too. Runs pretty fast on my TiBook 867. Articles and feeds scroll pretty fast too.

I would guess it's going to cost money... I found this on the website:
"Lektora is currently in beta test and it is available for free during that time."
Seems to me that if it was always going to be free then they wouldn't need to qualify the time period in which it's going to be free.
But that's their choice. My only thought in the matter is that I'd like to know how much it will cost. I'm quite happy using Sage as my Firefox newsreader. It's free and does what I want. I feel no reason to even try this product. For all I know it's fabulous, but I feel like I'd just be setting myself up for a "first one's free" type situation.
Whatever happened to full disclosure?
But... I haven't tried it, so no rating for me.

This is a superb RSS aggregator that integrates very smoothly inside the browser. Easy to use and nice looking UI. I imported my subscriptions very easily from NetNewsWire via the Share tab in the customize view.
I recommend it to everyone!

hidden cost? - Version: 1.0b, 3/1/2005 03:10PM PST

so is this going to be freeware and opensource or is this the first product for firefox for which there'll be a charge?
Looks promising on Windows (I need something like this for IE6 users at work) but it's not much use for the Mac at the moment if you are using an up-to-date version of Firefox. Shame.
