If you want your computer to sleep without having to install a bunch of stuff on it, then try PleaseSleep. It's a very small app that puts an item in your menubar: http://www.dragonone.com/products/macosx/pleasesleep/ Very simple, and works as well as NMS.
Finally my G5 can sleep.

My PPC G5 tower has had the USB derived no sleeping problem that is well documented on many forums. Basically hubs hung off the machine or non USB 2 devices plugged into those hubs, or added PCI USB cards, cause these machine to not sleep. If fact Sonnet says on their web side that their card does not support deep sleep. Well NMS has so far enabled my G5 to sleep without making any changes. So far the only this that prevents sleep is a card reader plugged into the hub. Once this is unplugged after use all is well. Thank you very much for the product.
