Product Description:

XC Connect enables users to create, modify and share Calendar, Contact and Task information between and across any combination of Microsoft Outlook, OS X iCAL and Address Book, Microsoft Entourage, Novell Evolution, and a Web-Browser Interface. XC Connect provides users with the ability to share personal folders as well as the ability to create and share public folders with specific membership. The XC Connect solution consists of two components: the XCN Server and XC Connect client. The XCN Server is hosted on a computer that is accessible by your users and manages users, permissions as well as any shared data. The XC Connect Client, installed on each user's computer, handles the data transfer between Outlook, iCAL and Address Book, Entourage or Evolution and the XCN Server. Security - All data maintained on the XCN Server is encrypted, as is the transmission between the XCN Server and the XC Connect Client. Synchronizing - XC Connect will only sync data that is either new or has been modified. Offline access - All user data is maintained locally on each user's computer as well as on the XCN Server. Shared folders - XC Connect allows you to share your Personal Calendar, Contact, and/or Task folders, plus provides the ability to create and share new folders with specified users.

XC Connect ReviewSounds good but .... - Version: 3.3, 7/30/2008 09:51PM PST

At the developer's web site it is stated "You may purchase any number of licenses for either XC Connect or XC Vault, but the minimum inital purchase is 5." This means $350 for 5 licenses when I need only one .....

XC Connect ReviewSo Great! - Version: 3.3, 5/1/2008 12:22PM PST

Being the sole Mac user in a Windows environment, I have a need to keep the corporate Exchange server updated with my appointments. I have Entourage (2004) for this purpose. I hate Entourage and much prefer to use iCal as my 'real' calendar, only using Entourage to update Exchange. This means that all iCal appointments have to find their way into Entourage.

Until recently I used a commercial Applescript for this. However this was last updated some years ago, has numerous Leopard issues and is slow and increasingly error prone.

I stumbled across XC Connect and it's beautiful. I run in a slightly unconventional way I suspect. I am the sole user and use the client/server version on one Mac. To do a full sync I have to perform two operations; sync Ical to server, then sync Entourage to server. However, each takes seconds (compared to sometimes an hour or more for the old script) and is just a joy to use.

Had to use support a couple of times to get properly configured and they were responsive, helpful and generally first rate. Couldn't recommend more.

The $299 price in the listing may be misleading. That appears to be for a 5 user license. According to the website, the price for one user is $60.
