Conference Recorder for iChat AV - 2.1.3

the 2.0 version integrates nicely with iChat, and it does the job really well. you can pause the recording, and when you continue it just adds to the end of the existing recording. very nice, was stable for me.

The program works pretty well for recording video chats (tho' I find it really annoying that it has both a 7 day limited trial and puts a huge watermark over the video--one or the other would have been sufficient for goodness sake!). However, the UI--the mini VCR--is a terrible idea. This is exactly the kind of stuff that makes Windows such a pain to use. if they'd fix the UI, I'd be more willing to buy.

This is definitely a cool addition to iChat!! The files sizes aren't small - a minute at medium quality ends up being about 5MB, but that's not so bad considering what you're getting. After just a few minutes of testing I've paid for this one - it's going to come in very handy, as I use iChat for meetings with colleagues that we'd really love to be able to record. I hope this will work with the Tiger version of iChat so we can record three of us in conference!

Now, if someone would just develop a whiteboard add-on for iChat, I'd be totally set!!!
