I've been using a Wacom Graphire Tablet and "pen" for almost a year now, and I can't imagine going back to just using a mouse. Had I known about FlySketch when I bought the tablet, I would have been using it just as long. I didn't stumble onto this clever app until I got an iPod and heard about using VooDooPad, made by the same "company". FlySketch is what I've been looking for to increase the use of my tablet. It takes a little while to get the hang of using the see-through window, capturing the other window you want to mark on, and maneuvering the items behind the transparent FlySketch window. I would like to see "erasing" or deleting marks a little easier than going back and forth to the drop down menu. It also appears, so far, that I have to go to preferences in order to get the FlySketch menu bar to appear at the top of my screen as most apps. do, but I am new at using it. I see a lot of potential use in this app., both for work and recreation. It will certainly get attention of anyone sitting nearby when you use it!
As for the price, if you have not purchase VooDooPad or FlySketch, they appear to be available bundled together for $39.99. Go to http://flyingmeat.com/bundles/ . FlySketch seems pretty easy to get the hang of. If you want to save your work, make sure you have captured the window or image you were using into the FlySketch window. Since I was using the FlySketch window in its transparent view, I sometimes forgot I was simply marking on a clear window, and not on the actual image or window behind it.
I've enjoyed using FlySketch on a trial basis and will be getting my copy registered soon.

.
Well someone's been listening. It's all there now
a very decent - mature, feature full release. It's a
strange amalgam, screen capture and doodling
but if you need either or even both of these,
this apps for you. Should win some sort of award
for being so insanely great.
Thanks for all the feature enhancements, you
'meaty' developer guys - you've outdone yourselves.
I am truly impressed and if new users take the time
to download and try it, they will too.
( How about an upgrade path option for the
registered flysketch 'only' users to the full bundle? )

With all due respect to georgecoghill23's assertion that this is "too expensive", I completely disagree. I take a LOT of screenshots for a wide variety of purposes (software documentation, book illustrations, troubleshooting, etc.) and FlySketch is a totally worthy application for my purposes.
I own Snapz Pro too, and I'm finding that I use FlySketch more often. It just has a really good workflow with "just enough" functionality.
My main quibble is that the application needs to be able to duplicate the OS screen capture features (full screen and capturing objects), but the other features that FS has pretty much makes up for this omission.
One star off for that, though if it was possible to take off 1/2 a star, I would. Still, this is great stuff.
