as of today, 02.28.2006, the Download seems to be v2.2, according to the app as well as the documentation. this versiontracker page was updated on 02.23.06, ~5 days ago. i haven't been able to reach the Developer's Site as it's a bandwidth limited mac.com homepage.

Will someone please advise in more depth the extent of this application's capabilities? The developer's website has flown the coup! (I wish some developers would take time to be just a wee bit more explicit. All of us have not been using Macs or Mac software for 9,900 years! [Not meant to be offensive to anyone, just trying to make a Product Description point.].) Does it just create a list of files in a folder that is placed on a volume OR does it place the folder and backup? Just what ALL does it do? I am looking for a dependable and fast application to backup my home directory. (My brand new PowerMac's Console Log advised me to contact Apple because my Java Virtual Machine is "null and void." While Developers and Engineering are doing diagnosis, tech support advised that I should backup then erase and install Tiger.) I see that MBR is highly rated but I do not think I can backup what I need. rSynch--- requires Terminal use and I am new to the Mac world and not the most proficient Terminal user. Yes, there are some others. Do any "VersionTrackers" have any "kind" advice PRONTO? Thanks!
(Love you, VersionTracker! You're the Best!!)

---i love using my mac
---i hate learning how to use my mac
---as i get older i find that i am less inclined to wade through a lot of documentation to try and learn how to do something simple
---i wanted to find a very simple application that allows me to choose files and folders i want to backup and then remembers what i have chosen
---backup list does exactly that..simply and easily
---for me, it's a perfect solution
---thanks a lot!
