Product Description:
Supports USB tablets of the following models: Intuos3 (PTZ), Intuos2 (XD), Intuos1 (GD), Graphire2 (ET-A), Graphire (ET), CintiqPartner, Cintiq 21UX, 18SX, 15X and PL 500.
What's new in this version:
- A new “Pan/Scroll...� option was added for the pen buttons. Press a pen button set to this function and then drag the pen tip across the tablet to pan or scroll the current document in any direction. (In some graphics applications, this will enable the grabber hand.)
- This driver supports only the professional tablets listed above. For concurrent use of a consumer Wacom tablet, you need to install a separate Pen Tablet driver, version 5.03 or later. These two drivers can now be added or removed independently of each other.
- A number of smaller issues were resolved as well.

i have wacom v6.0.5-3 installed for my Intous 3, but VTP says i should ? downgrade ??? to v.6.0.5-2, and i see that on this page these have been overtaken by 2 further updates 6.1.0
i AM using a power PC mac, so maybe i should not be looking at these 2 later versions
(what IS RC anyway?)
but i am STILL puzzled why i should go from -3 to -2
or has wacom decided that later versions count DOWN to the next stage????

With so many top shelf artists working exclusively on Mac OS X I have no idea why Wacom consistently puts out such horrible software to negatively complement their hardware. Then again the drivers could be just as terrible on the Win side, but I'd sell my soul before ever finding out firsthand.
FYI - Release candidate:
The term release candidate (RC) refers to a version with potential to be a final product, ready to release unless fatal bugs emerge. In this stage of product stabilization (read QA cycle), all product features have been designed, coded and tested through one or more Beta cycles with no known showstopper-class bug.
