invariably indicated as iScreensaver 3.4. While this screen saver apparently was created using the iScreensaver Designerâ„¢ software engine from Xochi Media Inc., should it not show its own version number? .

I'll try not to sound too "California", even though I am a transplanted resident but... If (like me) you are inspired by quotes - this software is GREAT. It's surprising how many times a screensaver pops up. Now, 20 times a day, I am surprised by some quote that makes me feel good or inspired. And (here's the California part) it actually makes me savor the moments a little bit more. I LOVE this thing. If you're not into quotes, fine. If you are, it will be money well spent.

btw, on the developers website, you can request quotes you would like to see added. He added all of my requests (five quotes) for this latest version.

I've been using it since 1.0. I know some people would like to be able to input their own quotes, but for me I like the old time feel of this saver how it is. The new version adds 100 more quotes and there are some really good ones I would not have known of if it was just a program to add your own.

Also, I have tried the free screensaver in the last review and it does not work well at all on an Intel Mac. It has crashed my System Preferences each time I try to run it.

The screensaver Fadetext lets you input your own quotes... and it's freeware.

To reply to the guy below. If you actually READ why the person made this screen saver it was to help him pay for graduate school. I'm sure he doesn't have time to program a very complex screen saver. I found out about the screen saver originally in MacWorld, so it can't be too bad, can it?

Anyway, I just wanted to say I love this saver. Been using it for a year and am glad he came out with a new version that supports the Intel Macs (and my black MacBook! :)

Quotations, like art or music, are a matter of personal preference. What is inspirational to some, is downright boring to others. With so many wonderful quotations out there to chose from, the glaring deficit of this program, is its inability to allow paying customers to add their own favorite quotes to the display list. Other reviewers have mentioned this. Wonder why the author doesn't take the hint?

Any chance to change the duration of each quote? Some are long and it switches too fast.

For my own quotes that'd be cool. An option for a unix fortune file would be amazing.

I'll be among the first in line to pay for a version that includes the ability to add my own quotes.

Until then: it's an attractive idea - I hope it's paying for grad school ... :-)

MacHouse Quotes Pro 2 CommentaryAdding my own quotes - Version: 1.1.5, 3/19/2005 11:12PM PST

Hello,

This product is something I am looking for, however, I have about 1,600 quotes of my own I would like to have in the screen saver. Is there an option for me to add my own quotes or link to a quote file?

thank you.
