Product Description:

Jaikoz is a Java based Audio Tagger with many advanced features making it quick and easy to correct the meta-information in your audio tags, it works especially well with large music collections. It gives you full control of your editing and provide as much automation as possible. Jaikoz uses a spreadsheet view to allow you to edit information more quickly than other applications and provides many autoformatting tasks which do most of the work for you. For example, it compares your MP3s to each other and using this information it can correct missing information and spelling mistakes, we know of no other tagger that does this!

Jaikoz can extract information from a filename into the tag without you having to specify the format for the filename. The screen is split horizontally to show the original record and the changes you have made so you compare both at the same time. Some applications hide multi-complex fields away but Jaikoz allows you to access all your information directly from the spreadsheet view.

Jaikoz Audio Tagger ReviewOne big vote from me - Version: 2.8.4, 2/17/2009 01:55AM PST

I found this to be a most remarkable time saving application. Five minutes after install I knew it was what I needed to tidy my library so I registered it, and 30 minutes after that I had identified every "unknown" or "unidentified" song. Over the past few days I've been able to refine many things such as album dates and missing artwork. I've been keeping a close eye on it (I don't trust _any_ software for months!) and so far it totally shines in terms of accuracy and reliability. For me, it's either automation or chaos, no way have I got time to ID everything, or fill in the kind of info that this app manages in a few seconds.

People have mentioned the slight java-clunkiness of it. It is noticeable but most importantly that does not affect the apps ability to get the job done, which is more important to me than any plastic devotion to the purity of cocoa. If some cocoalicious thing comes out that can match this, that'd be great, but I haven't seen one that can match it.

Last point - this application, along with SuperSync, have enabled me to achieve what I thought would be impossible, in restoring, sorting, de-duping and syncing my audio archive. What I really want next is to be able to do the same to my damn photo archive!

Jaikoz Audio Tagger Usage TipLooks like a great program. Loved to buy it if I could only download it. - Version: 2.3.1, 4/5/2008 08:11AM PST

Program looks great and looks like it's the answer to all my issues I've dealt with for over 11 years with my library. Would love to get it and pay for it BUT I can't seem to download the darn thing. What's up? Do you have the software only available on one server and no mirror sites? It seems your server is down. Please let me know how I can get a copy of this software. I'll gladly pay for it too! Best Regards, Paul John at SongVault.fm

Jaikoz Audio Tagger ReviewI like this program - Version: 1.11.2, 9/16/2007 03:54AM PST

I like this program. I like iTunes too. But what I don't like is how itunes currently stores files and in particular that it doesn't attach album art to the actual song file but puts it away in an album art folder. This means that if you like to move your music files around onto mass storage devices or any media player/mp3 player other than an ipod it doesn't take the album art.
Jaikoz has allowed me to to tag all my files in the format that I want, using a logical interface similar to that of iTunes in that, once loaded all files can be viewed by album/artist/genre and corrected accordingly.
Corrections can be applied in various ways. A local corrector can be applied to improve grammatical errors and improve file identification/auto correction. A file identification process can then be carried out and finally an auto correction process using the MuzicBrainz database. This is fairly accurate but if you don't like the results you can either use the manual corrector and select from a number of identified files or apply your own correction in the spreadsheet like table.
You then have the option to save files to folders and subfolders, in the format that you want using hotkeys and to top it all your files now work in iTunes AND any other mediaplayer/mp3 player with all your tag information.

I have experienced occasional bugs (error windows for no reason) but otherwise works very well.

This program does exactly what I need a file tagger to do and has the versatility to allow users to edit tags in any way they choose.
If you like cross platform freedom but prefer to use Mac this is my choice and well worth the $20.
