Product Description:

fracplanet is an interactive application to generate and view random fractal planets and terrain with oceans, mountains, icecaps, and rivers, then save them in POV-Ray format. It uses Qt and OpenGL. This is an installer for fracplanet 0.2.0.

What's new in this version:

Interface redesign, bug fixes.

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.3 or higher
    Trolltech's Qt 3.3 framework (a binary installer of Qt3.3 for MacOSX 10.3 is available at http://naranja.umh.es/ atg)

on panther (10.3.8), the application doesn't even launch on my computer...

You tell mac users regular on versiontracker that they should get QTlib from a www page to run your application?

Build it static. If you look at comments, you will understand why... ;)

BTW people, it deserves the hassle, use it.

I installed the Qt 3.3 package, and then installed fracplanet, but it wouldn't launch. So, thanks, but no thanks. If you're a user who doesn't want to jump through installation hoops, this probably isn't for you.

Also, the fact that it requires Qt, which isn't freeware, to run, means that fracplanet is freeware only for those who already have Qt.
