iSnip CommentaryAnother Alternative - Version: 1.4, 10/19/2009 07:19PM PST

I was looking for a replacement for iSnip under Snow Leopard. Xmenu has a nice Snip function. Not quite as well implemented as iSnip but does the job well if you have a series of snippets that don't change over time.

iSnip CommentaryAlternative: ClipMenu - Version: 1.4, 10/10/2009 03:41PM PST

In case anyone cares, there's another program that's very similar to iSnip and works great (I'm using 10.6.1): ClipMenu. Best of all, it's FREE. iSnip is dead, long live ClipMenu.

iSnip CommentarySigh... still no leopard version? guess iSnip is DEAD? - Version: 1.4, 9/10/2008 02:18PM PST

I loved iSnip, but if the dev is just going to yank the webpage without the courtesy of an info page or anything.... Shouldn't versiontracker just go ahead and pull this off of here and quit wasting everyone's time?

iSnip Usage TipMemory Issue - Version: 1.4, 3/26/2008 12:33AM PST

This is a wonderful product that does its work.

Although it lacks automation, ease of data manipulations, its greatest weakness (as I sees it) is that it is memory territorial hungry on my OS X.

For each process, it consumes/occupies memories until the last 10Mbs. When I quits it, it clears the occupied memory.

I would recommend using this product but that it is good to quit and re-launch it regularly to clear the occupied memory buffer.

iSnip CommentaryCorrection: Full URL works - Version: 1.4, 3/18/2008 03:23AM PST

The full URL does work: http://www.davedelong.com/isnip2/index.shtml

Maybe an URLs like http://www.davedelong.com/isnip2 does not work anymore because domain and site have been moved to a different host that does not recognize "index.shtml" as a index page? The host also does not recognize the .dmg file as a file to be downloaded and not to be displayed as text in the browser window.

Well, not all of the website is gone, but the www.davedelong.com and /www.davedelong.com/isnip2/ index pages have been removed.

Good sign or bad sign?
