Product Description:

Directory Content Printer is a Mac OS X program that can be used to browse and print directory listings.

Directory Content Printer enables you to browse Finder directories and print the contents of a directory in three different formats. The formats include an icon list mode, a hierarchical outline mode and a browser mode.

What's new in this version:

  • Updated program to be fully compliant with Mac OS X v10.5 (Leopard).
  • Several bug fixes and other alterations internal to the program.
  • Added option of listing hidden files in directory content.

... for a quick way of printing directory contents, you can select all content of a directory in the finder and then copy (command-c) and then paste (command-p) a text list into any text app. This works only with one level, and does not show an entire tree.

This needs some work. It works, but not like I would like.
First, for a mere $6, you can eliminate the long delay at launch.
Then you see the contents of your home folder. It is not obvious how to navigate. doubleclicking a directory does nothing. There is a button to change the default directory, but I would expect that to be a menu item or a preference. In the menu, you choose a directory to list. Drag and drop would be more logical, or at least a button for this most important function.
What I would prefer is a contextual menu item for printing the directory.
