Product Description:

What it does:
  • organize almost everything the same way RealBasic does (I'm an RB fan, which is the main reason this app exists), which means it has functions/methods/types/globals/constants/locals listings
  • auto-completion for keywords as well as user-defined types and user-declared globals/consts/locals/function/methods/fields
  • Syntax coloring
  • semi-auto-indent (the way BMax already does it in fact)
  • Tip help
  • probably more since it took me a whole week of 12 hours/day of work to create it...

What will probably be wrong:

  • THERE WILL BE BUGS: yeah, this is a beta: Since I'm quite poor for now, I can't buy BlitzMax just yet, plus the fact that the 3D module isn't out... All this means that I'm not working on anything with BMax for now, so I don't my own app much... All I did was do a little bug hunting... I ve found/corrected a lot but I'm SURE there are still plenty remaining
  • Some Menus are still to be implemented
  • THERE IS NO UNDO/REDO and probably will never be (cause I don't have the faintest idea of how I can do code that... maybe... maybe I'll look into it someday, depending on my app's success :) )

What's new in this version:

  • New Project Menu OS now enabled (I forgot to enabled it in the previous versions, which rendered my app pretty useless...)
  • properties and functions can now be declared as public or private
  • corrected a few bugs (mostly concerning the text selection whan editing functions/methods)
  • optimized a bit the "help/tip" popup so that it only appears when a real function is found, not any keyword (before, it would appear when clicking on an "if" or any other keyword)
  • "Strict" keyword, that needs to be written at the beginning of a file is now written at the beginning of the file

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.3
  • Mac OS X 10.2
  • Mac OS X 10.1
  • Mac OS X 10.0

Additional Requirements:

  • Tested on an iMac G3 500 MHz w/512 MB RAM and a G4 866 MHz w/768 MB RAM
    May require StuffIt Expander 9

Have you tried unstuffing bmaxcode with Stuffit 9 or earlier... I'm not sure this is the cause but it seems that the uncompressed App bounces when it has been unstuffed with an earlier version of stuffit... If you used Stuffit 9 and it still bounces in the dock then tell me... I might want to look further into this matter... (by using sitx rather than sit, or even .zip if everything else fail)

BMaxCode CommentaryI also have the bouncing app... - Version: beta 5.5, 2/19/2005 07:34PM PST

I've also got an application with the generic App icon bouncing in the dock indefinitely. Then went to your site to find out about it, and hopefully your email address, and got a blank white page.

I guess your email may be stored in your dev info so I'll look there, but it might not hurt to put it on your site. Also, the .sit did appear to unstuff as I got the two text documents, but the app did not.
