Product Description:
Keep tabs on your enemies' every move with the help of Xbox Live Friends, the useful new application from mindquirk.
Xbox Live Friends loads your friends list information right from Xbox.com for up to the minute updates about exactly who's online and what they're playing. All in a beautiful interface that you come to expect from Apple. Only we aren't Apple. But we're just as cool.
Features include: Up-to the minute friends list information, automatically tries to keep you signed in, Halo 2 Player and clan stats, Halo 2 Emblem Designer, notification bezels when people's online status changes, can display real names instead of gamertags, and last but not least: a really really ridiculously good-looking interface.
All Xbox Live Friends requires is that you link your gamertag to your Microsoft .NET passport. All the passwords and authentication are handled through Microsoft's passport system, so Xbox Live Friends is as secure as Microsoft is. Take that how you want.
Please note that Xbox.com can sometimes become overloaded and claim that "you have no Xbox Live friends," but this problem is Microsoft's fault, is not specific to this app, and is usually fixed within the day.
What's new in this version:
- Super hot new icon, everything has been sexed up
- Stats overhauled - shows all stats (even if you haven't played on a particular playlist), clan stats, displays rank image
- Notifications made sexier - close button, button to return to app
- Split functions from friends menu into two menus
- Option to show only online friends
- Emblem Designer - allows you to create emblem designs just like in Halo 2, and also load the information about someone else's emblem
- Sounds added to notification options, put any QuickTime supported sound on the notifications.
- Shortcut to view your own stats
- Resize bug fixed
- I'm sure there's more that I forgot about.

The best of the Friends apps, although it seems to quit expectedly every ten minutes. Also, auto-login only works about half the time. Sending messages without turning on my Xbox is awesome. Please fix the stability and I would gladly pay!

It looks like they are no longer maintaining this application. If you are looking for an alternative, we have an XBOX Live Friends widget for the MacOS dashboard as well as the iPhone/iPod Touch.
