Flashmode-Alpha - 2.0

'Flashmode-Alpha' is a modification of "Flashmode' that works with AlphaX/TeXniscope (editor/previewer). Notation: In the following the term 'Flashmode' is to be understood to mean 'Flashmode-Alpha'. Installation: Install the folders 'Flashmode' and 'Flashmode-Alpha' separately in '~/Library/' and drag the icon of the application 'Flashmode-Alpha-Scripts', located in Flashmode-Alpha/Applications to the Dock, for those who use a G5, 'Flashmode-Alpha-Scripts-G5' is recommended, since it is compiled for this processor with 64-bit addressing enabled , etc. The folder 'Flashmode' is used by all variants of 'Flashmode', i.e., by 'Flashmode', 'Flashmode-Alpha', 'Flashmode-TS' and 'Flashmode-ITM', and it is identical in all distributions. Important: Read also the installation instructions for a proper working of the scripts in the document 'Description of the TeX-Scripts'. Requirements: Flashmode-Alpha requires only a fairly complete tetex installation, preferably Gerben Wierda's distribution, AlphaX as editor and TeXniscope v. 0.3.4, or better, by Massimiliano Gubinelli as pdf viewer. No further tex scripts are necessary. Flashmode also requires OS 10.3. Moreover, in System Preferences/Enable Universal Access 'Enable access for assistive devices' has to be checked. Important: If the name of TeXniscope should include a version number, then rename it to 'TeXniscope', since this the name of the application the Applescript commands are directed to. Hardware: On a G5@2.5GHz it is a real joy running Flashmode, while it is a bit slow on an old G4@500MHz.
