Product Description:
High Definition video editing for years has been too expensive for all but the very top tier of the video elite. With the arrival of HDV cameras, the dream of affordable High Definition video became closer to reality. However, little support existed for bringing this video format on to the computer. HDVxDV bridges the great divide between the computer and the HDV format.
HDVxDV captures and converts High Definition video from an HDV camera or VCR into any Quicktime video format. It resizes the video to fit the most common High Definition, Standard Definition, and Multi-media frame sizes. HDVxDV will change the field ordering, so that it matches what your editing system expects to see.
The video created by HDVxDV can be used with any application that can read Quicktime movies.

which plays much better on older computers. HDVxDV's TS capture can be scaled with MPEG Streamclip's superior processing. So unless you have FCP or FC Express, the HDVxDV/MPEG Streamclip combo is unbeatable.
