Safer Workstation CommentaryA joke!!! - Version: 1.0.1, 9/11/2005 08:31PM PST

I broke into my own machine within seconds... it's not even sad it's a joke.
You'll notice an app icon launch in your dock several seconds after login right click or control click it and select show in finder. then simply move helper.app to the trash next time you log in it will no longer log you out.

Very FALSE security I feel bad for people that think this is security.

not worth it even for $5.00 or free at that

and yeah untie??? never works

Safer Workstation CommentaryHow to break this - Version: 1.0.1, 1/6/2005 12:50PM PST

Your work Mac most likely has SSH login enabled, because you probably need it.

Log in, kill the process for Safer Workstation, and you're good to go.

Applications like this give a false sense of security, and should not be listed, let alone for sale.

Great idea, although it would be better if removal of the drive locked the screen, or if that were at least an option, and required the drive to be reinserted to unlock it.

Even as it stands now, it doesn't work very well, at least it didn't for me. It did not find my iPod, only my USB flash drive. Removing the drive does not log me out. And "Untie"? Yeah, that doesn't seem to work either, no matter how many times I do it. I hope I can find some way to get rid of this thing!!!
