Product Description:

The Allegro Media Server streams digital music from Macintosh or Windows iTunes libraries to wired or wireless networked digital music players using UPnP technology (the same technology used by Windows Media Connect). This means that networked UPnP-based Digital Music Players such as the newer Philips Streamium series, the Roku SoundBridge and the Netgear MP101 can see an iTunes Digital Music Library over the network and play individual songs or playlists.

What's new in this version:

Fixed compatibility issue with iTunes 7.0

Allegro Media Server CommentaryRoku HD1000 - Version: 1.0, 1/3/2005 04:34PM PST

Can someone post results once they have tried this with the new 2.0 beta Roku HD1000 software? I plan on getting either the Roku HD1000 or the EyeHome or if Apple comes out with something at MacWorld next week....

But I want to be able to see all my iTunes songs, playlists, genre's, etc.....and iPhoto albums and library with the Roku HD1000 in addition to playing slideshows with iTunes music on my HDTV. I am hoping this Allegro Media Server can do the trick!

Until that can happen, I'm not buying a Roku HD1000 (EyeHome can't do true HD).

Thanks!
