GraphClick ReviewPretty, intuitive, and effective: excellent app for $8!! - Version: 3.0b, 5/15/2008 06:15AM PST

This is a pretty modest niche: extracting data from graphs and figures, but GraphClick does what it does wonderfully.

You can quickly define the scale of the graph (in several different ways), then tracing graphs is flexibly and quickly done by adding points (or even automatically tracing both solid and, remarkably well, broken symbol lines).

You can export the data to a spreadsheet, and the program even calculates areas under the curves - which was what I used it for.

GraphClick ReviewUnique Capability - Version: 2.7.1, 10/22/2005 04:44AM PST

Just used GraphClick for the first time. I wanted to use a graph from an old publication in an article to be published. The only copy of the illustration was from a pdf file I downloaded from the web. This "original" simply was not of publishable quality. The process went as follows:

pdf file > copy illustration with Acrobat > past into GraphClick > copy data points generated into Excel and regraph > paste into Photoshop Elements. The result a tiff file formated to my specs.

Spectacular

GraphClick ReviewTerrific application - Version: 2.7, 10/15/2005 09:54AM PST

GraphClick is a terrific application. With it, I could "recover" data from charts I'd created long ago, but neglected to retain the underlying data. Moreover, I could discern the data underlying charts from publications, and then recreate these as required (with proper source attribution).
