Product Description:

A revolutionary Minesweeper game with engaging full-color graphics, intriguing sound effects, and captivating game play. Capitalizing on advances in todays video cards and computer processing speeds, Dangerous Mines delivers all of the fun and challenge of traditional Minesweeper games, while significantly advancing their entertainment value. Unlike ordinary Minesweeper games that plunk bare-bones graphics onto your screen, Dangerous Mines immerses you in a magical environment with animated background scenes and clever visual and sound effects. With 3 game modes to choose from, and a variety of difficulty levels, it's easy to play for hours on end or just for a few minutes. Game modes: Classic - This is the basic game we all know. FreeEdge - Clears the edge so you can get right to the fun part, Solving the puzzle. Gauntlet - This really changes the game in that the game doesn't end if you click the wrong square, the game plays on in rounds as you race against the clock. Very fun! Game play is very intuitive, and the game even has a hint mode that will make suggestions when you get stuck. Players can create their own environment backgrounds, and share them with friends and family. Dangerous Mines comes with a variety of environments, and free user-created selections are available from a number of enthusiasts' web sites. When you need a break from your computer work, don't run a game program that looks like a Windows utility. Immerse yourself in a fantastic world, surround yourself with magical sounds, and indulge yourself with Ruckus Buck's Dangerous Mines.

Dangerous Mines ReviewVery nice but over-priced and odd trial behavior - Version: 1.0b17, 2/8/2005 01:05PM PST

The graphics and sounds and functionality of this program are all excellent. It's fun and addictive, and everything works as it should. There are a wealth of environment options, and the game feels good. Problems for me were that it did not give me a full 30-day trial and that it seems awfully expensive. Trial was more like 10 days (although I lost count). And $25 seems a pretty hefty tarrif for a game of mindsweeper. Maybe it just hit me at the wrong time, but the price point just seems off to me. I started to buy it, but I balked. $14.95 seems more like it. I think they would sell a lot at that price. Maybe even $19.95. $24.95 feels as if I'm being gouged. That's it. If the cost is no object, you'll probably be happy with it.

Wow, that's quite the advertising speil. Fortunately, the game lives up to the description. This is not the type of game I usually play, but the graphics and sound are stunning. Can someone review the online play that comes with the full version?

Great job!
