Product Description:
MenuCal is donationware. If you like it and use it, feel free to visit the website and make a donation. There are no registration reminders, and if you don't think it's worth paying for, you are welcome to continue using it for free.
What's new in this version:
- The Menu Item now displays the current days date. If you are lucky, it will even update when the day changes.
- The GUI has been improved somewhat. I'm not terribly sure what I want the GUI to look like and design is not my specialty, so any feedback is greatly appreciated.
- iCal data is now scanned every 5 minutes, and there is a manual refresh button in the drawer. The scanning first checks to see if the iCal files have a newer modification date, so there should be minimal processing overhead from this.
- The window placement should (hopefully) be correct now. At least on the one machine I could find that didn't place the window correctly, the changes fixed it.
- The menu item now places itself all the way to the right. I'm having a lot of difficulty trying to get it put where I want it, as apple does not provide this functionality.
- The calendar now highlights days with iCal items in grey and the current day is always highlighted in pink. The colors will probably be better later, as currently they were randomly chosen by picking arbitrary hex codes.

How about anybody who can afford to do so making a donation so he can get a new machine and continue development of an excellent and eminently affordable app.
