Product Description:

'Flashmode-ITM' is a modification of "Flashmode' that works with iTeXMac/iTeXMac (editor/previewer).

Notation: In the following the term 'Flashmode' is to be understood to mean 'Flashmode-ITM'.

Flashmode enables simultaneous typesetting as Textures did and still does in classic mode. When Flashmode is started, it looks for the front most document in the editor, gets its path and after that it is hooked for ever to this document as long as it stays open, i.e., a few split seconds after Flashmode has started the front most document in the editor could be anything without doing any harm.

Then Flashmode checks in regular intervals (default is 0.5 sec), the length of which is user definable, if its tex document has been modified, and if so, it initiates a save, a pdflatex run, and asks TeXniscope to refresh the front most pdf. Flashmode can be invoked even if a document isn't typeset yet, but beware that is first action will be a typesetting command.

What's new in this version:

Flashmode-ITM-Scripts is now Applescriptable. The action of any button can be triggered by an external script. A script template is provided.
Several typesetting scripts have been improved.
A new scrollable window has been added to Flashmode-ITM-Scripts.
It is recommended to replace everything.
Flashmode 2.1 uses iTeXMac also for pdf viewing. The Flashmode-ITM-Scripts have an additional scrollable window.
- Flashmode 2.0 will be commercially distributed.
- There are now three Flashmode-alt copies.
- Compilation has been optimized.
- A G5 optimized version of Flashmode-ITM-Scripts is included.

Flashmode-ITM requires only a fairly complete tetex installation, preferably Gerben Wierda's distribution; iTeXMac (I tested it with v1.3.15) as editor; and TeXniscope v0.3.3or better by Massimiliano Gubinelli as pdf viewer. No further tex scripts are necessary.
