AdiumSchedule ReviewEssentially Delicious - Version: 0.6, 3/26/2005 06:01PM PST

It just ocurred to me that I haven't given a review for this great little app yet. I thought I had, though... Anyway, this app is incredibly awesome. The developer is really good at fixing the app too! Very quick to respond to emails involving glitches and such. iCal integration *is* possible. You just have to put forth a little extra effort and make things completely automatic. There's a tutorial on the site for that too ^^

But, yeah, great app. It's fun to use. I'm looking forward to seeing more from future versions!

Those are awesome ideas- I'll do my best to try to implement them. Production might be slowed (Relatives must be seen on Holidays) I'll give it my best shot though- and thanks again for the suggestions.

AdiumSchedule CommentaryGood idea, could use some more functionality - Version: 0.3, 12/25/2004 10:54PM PST

This seems to me like a pretty good idea in general, and I like the fact that it's being upgraded so fast. Still though, it's lacking in a couple of features that I personally would consider necessary (though others might disagree), but that is to be expect at such an early stage of development, so take these following points as possible suggestions and not as demands or something. For one, I think you need to have the ability to select from away messages that you've created in Adium. I have over 30 away messages already created, and it'd be a LOT easier if I could just select from a pull-down menu rather than having to enter the text manually. Another thing it needs is the ability to add additional away messages to any group (so that you could have 4, 5, 6, 8, 10+ messages in a group), kinda like how the conditions for Smart Playlists are set in iTunes where you can press the add or subtract buttons to add or get rid of some of the fields. It'd also be nice if it could be set up on a daily basis (i.e. on Sunday is sets my "At Church" away message, on Monday it sets my "At school" message, on Tuesday it sets my "At work" message, etc etc). I know you could already get functionality like that by using the groups, but it'd be much nicer if it was explicitly built into the program in some way. Anyway, those are just my thoughts on what the app needs, but obviously you're only at v0.3, so I don't expect ANY of that at this point, I just think it'd be a good goal. I'd say that it looks like you have the core functionality in place and that it could end up being a truly useful application. Oh, and any chance you could switch the time selection from pull down menus to the standard text fields with the little up and down arrows next to them for increment and decrementation?
