Product Description:

This little application puts falling snow on your screen to add a festive atmosphere to the season. Works great with XMas Lights, our other freeware holiday app.

What's new in this version:

  • Now doesn't come forward when you accidentally click on a snowflake.
  • Added Spanish and Japanese localizations.

I'm not thrilled with it; doesn't do much for me especially since all my desktop pictures are of warm places. Big problem--I can't get rid of it. After I quit it, I can't eject it or drag it to the trash because it tells me it's in use.

Sno allows you to control the speed, size, wind, random. It also comes with source.

Not bad, though the amount of CPU this thing uses is insane. I think you need to cut the CPU down to 10% or less, which is totally possible, of course. Also, I want to make the snowflakes fall slower. I know there's an option in preferences, but they still don't go slow enough. Blowing from side to side would be nice. I'd also want to adjust the transparency and size.
