Product Description:

Ever want to see what's hidden on OS X pasteboards? Or maybe you're just really bored? Then you'll want to check out Pasteboard Inpsector. This program is a modernization of Apple's PasteboardPeeker tool. In addition to being user-friendly and having a more complete interface than Apple's tool, Pasteboard Inspector provides Cocoa's view of pasteboards. It shows all pasteboard data flavors that are placed on a pasteboard. This app is under development but already shows signs of promise. I'm writing it as a service to Mac developers, as well as to gain experience with Cocoa development, and to exhibit my application development abilities.

Additional Requirements:

The current version has a small amount of code that requires OS X 10.3. The final version will support 10.2. Property list viewing requires the Apple developer tool Property List Editor.

No window opens, and if you try to open one, you just get an error message in the console. Go to the developer's Web page and it just says "bye". Looks like this app is broken and abandoned maybe.

I did not know I needed this until I tried it. It will be interesting to use this more often.

Borrowed Time, Inc.

I've been using PasteboardPeeker for quite some time to try to decipher drag and drop data. It's poor interface provides only the basic information, and even that is incomplete.

Pasteboard Inspector, on the other hand, has a very clean interface that provides much more information. The difference between the two utilities is amazing. While I've only played with Pasteboard Inspector for only about five minutes now, I'm sure this will become the utility-of-choice for examining drag and drop data. Keep up the great work!
