iuTime CommentaryFew bugs - Version: 1.5, 8/5/2006 03:19AM PST

The app did not find that there was a newer version available even tho' check for updates was ticked.

Choosing a different path for the data file location doesn't work.

If perhaps this could at least be altered to:
/Users/USERNAME/Documents/iuTime/iuTime Data
it would keep things tidier :)

Otherwise a handy app for calculating the time between dates, haven't seen another app that does this.

Eric's TimeCalc Dashboard widget (for Tiger) available at www.woodzie.org/widgets/ or www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/calculate_convert/timecalc.html which has all the features I need, i.e. adding and subtraction down to 1000ths of a second and also SMPTE frames.

I found iuTime strange to use, want to be able to subtract too.

It doesn't know how to subtract. I had two simple times for today, like: Saturday, January 15, 2005 10:02:36 AM US/Pacific AND Saturday, January 15, 2005 10:03:28 AM US/Pacific and this little app reports the time difference as 51 seconds; wrong. Even times two seconds apart report 1 second.

When this is resolved it will be a nice little utility. It took my perl localtime string and converted it nicely to the app's format. Now it would be really useful if it could take unix times (like: 1105812463) and convert it to the time string for calculations. BTW, it churned a long time on trying to do the math on a date and 1105812463, had to force quit it.
