sixtyforce is the Nintendo 64 emulator for Mac OS. Carbonized to run under Mac OS 9 or Mac OS X, sixtyforce is a complete "virtual Nintendo 64" that can play games on your Mac. As the fastest Mac N64 emulator, sixtyforce is the only way to play N64 games on your Mac!

sixtyforce was the first N64 emulator on any platform to feature low-level emulation of the hardware in the N64 and has been seen in such magazines as MacAddict.

What's new in this version:

Added emulation of memory packs to handle game saving!
Added support for Immersion based force feedback controllers. (Mac OS X 10.2.3 or later.)
Added axis dead zones for analog controllers to fix over-sensitivity.

Bug fixes in 0.8.0 since 0.7.5

Fixed a bug that made F-Zero X unplayable. (The graphics are no longer completely distorted.)
Fixed a bug that could cause crashes after loading a freeze state.
Fixed a number of crashes related to controller and keyboard support.
Fixed a problem that could cause sixtyforce to not launch on older systems.

Has anyone heard from Gerrit? His website says a new cocoa beta would be released "soon" but that was September 5th, 2008. While I'm assuming the project is dead I'm still holding onto some hope he's working on a version to take advantage of the newer Mac OS X and new Intel chipset features.

Sixtyforce is a great emu. I registered, and using my Microsoft Procession Pro is great.Harvest Moon and F-Zero X run amazingly. I tested it on my iMac G3, with a 350 MHz processor, 192 RAM, and OS X Puma.
