Product Description:

Cosmic Debris is an Aurora Borealis monitor (not Aurora Australis, sorry aussies) menu item. It monitors two internet data sources for the probability of an Aurora event. The menu icon then displays the likelihood of an event using a color scheme: green for low probability, yellow for medium probability, red for high probability (and active for PCAF), and gray for unknown. Options include having a popup window, email or sound alert you of upgrades to the probability levels, auto updating and more.

What's new in this version:

After closing an alert window, the last active application will regain focus (rather than the Finder).

Operating System Requirements:

This product is designed to run on the following operating systems:

  • Mac OS X 10.3
  • Mac OS X 10.2

Additional Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.2 or higher

Nothing happens when the program is opened ... cannot delete it because finder says the program is open ... but it's not open. I give ... what's up.

If you, like me, have seen these lights in a place so far down south (I live in England) that the likelihood would be that you would have to spend another 10 years frantically star gazing to see another display, then you really need this!

Why stand outside in the cold when you can be warned from the warmth of your own chair?

RECOMMENDED.

I have just tried this program with system 10.3.7 on a G3 500 iBook and is works great! We live in Anchorage, and I have always wanted to know what the Northern Lights status was. This is great! Thank you for the great program.
