I like version 2.0 much better than previous versions. Everything seems more automatic now... lots less to configure.

I've unzipped this with both Stuffit Expander and the command line "unzip" tool and both unzip with a seperate resouce directory from the main dir. However, the application bundle is only a folder and not executable. I've tried to rename it with the .app extension, chmod with 755 but I still can't execute it. Please use a disk imaging tool or test the archive before distributing it.

For anyone who's looking, GeekBind includes the ability to change transparency of even Carbon apps, like the Finder window and even Microsoft Office document windows. And you can set hotkeys for it too (+/- transparency of front window).
Unfortunately a problem I have with GB is that after a restart the hotkeys don't seem to stick; the settings are still there, but I have to open the GB syspref and click the "Apply" button. And it hasn't been updated in a while, either.
I'm hoping SetAlphaValue will find a way soon to change transparency of Carbon apps too, as well as supporting hotkeys to do this.
