FrameForge 3D Studio ReviewFrameforge 2.0 demo - Version: 1.5.6, 4/29/2006 05:43AM PST

Tried the limited demo. Saw nothing that makes it worth $400 dollars. Better than it was in 1.5.6 (yes I tried that too and dumped it). Not good enough for the money. Look Hash Animation master offers way more for $300. What makes this crude set up for blocking shots worth that much ? I dont know.

FrameForge 3D Studio ReviewGood Idea, Poor Implementation - Version: 1.5.6, 7/14/2005 10:18AM PST

The idea is great, as well as some of the toolsets, unfortunately this program suffers from painfully slow rendering and interaction - even with the models as crude as they are, moving through a set is a grating experience. The interface also needs a MAJOR overhaul, as it still looks like an OS 9 program. It could take a few control ideas from Poser, which makes maneuvering through a set much more organic.

Hopefully version 2 will finally take advantage of hardware rendering, as well as improvements to the models and interface. That is, if the update ever comes, this program has been languishing for some time.
