Very handy for photo slideshows and other things. I use it to put a border around photos so that they'll show up fully on TV screens (think "safe area"). Pretty easy to use. I do find the "Shrink" and "Expand" sliders to be confusingly named - they do not shrink and expand the video/image, rather they set the amount of time it takes to shrink and expand. Also there is an issue with the configuration screen sometimes showing the wrong image/video in its preview requiring you to unselect then reselect the effect in iMovie in order to get it to update - the developer says this is due to problems with iMovie itself. None-the-less you have to deal with it.
