Product Description:
Steam locomotive and train simulator. Engineer a vintage train consisting of steam engine, tender, bagage and passenger cars. Controls include the throttle, boiler pressure, traction sand, various brakes, track switches and manual couplers. Traditional 2D side scroller. For all ages and most Macs up to 5 years old.. US$20 price includes 1 year of updates.

ST 3.1 is really astonishing ! Simple but with full control of the game. And has a splendid interface. Works great on my 15" MacBook Pro (OSX 10.5.5, Intel Core Duo 2Ghz, 2 Mb mem.). Thanks a lot, IronHorseJohn ! I look forward to trying it with my 7 grandchildren...After running the demo version about 10 times, I am happy to send you the 15$ you absolutely deserve! Keep on improving it...

Version 2 adds incredible graphics courtesy of OpenGL. Night views and very realistic smoke, bi-directional trains and more. As a developer I appreciate the major effort it takes to upgrade to OpenGL, so this relatively short delivery of OpenGL says a lot about the developer's skill and *commitment* to enhancing this product. This product, IMO, is easily worth $40 or more. It is unique. Sure, there are other train sims, but not with the details and feel of SteamTRAIN. The developer is responsive to user requests and seriously considers all enhancement requests. This customer service alone is worth my registration fee. I can't buy this kind of service from the large software companies. Kudos to this developer for a wonderful product delivered at a reasonable price.
