Developer Comment: I am aware of a memory leak issue with the program and am working to resolve it.

Subtle Status is an unobtrusive info display, you can set the transparency and other options. It is intented for iTunes info, though you can write you own AppleScripts for it and several are included.

This is one of the easiest, and most to the point little Apps I've used this year.
You may think it's too simplistic or what not, but it's handy as can be.

I've loved it since I started using it.
There could be a few more personalization features I suppose.

Does anyone else have trouble with Subtle Status freezing, then eating up a lot of memory? (I'm using a 12" Powerbook, 867mhz, 640 mb RAM, OS 10.3.8 with iLife 05.)

This little app does what I needed. A semitransparent miniscreen in a corner to see the actual iTunes song. Thanks!
