New technology allows the same sharp detailed maps as the original Digital Raster Graphics maps from the United States Geological Survey, except they are compressed to save space without losing resolution. MacTopos work with James Associates' MacGPS Pro software (available separately) to automatically show your current position and velocity on the correct map in real time using most GPS receivers.
