Product Description:

This tiny app is supposed to simply help to keep your Desktop tidy... So you are always ready for a presentation...
  • It will clean up every 60 seconds.
  • You can set a different value for the backup interval from 10 seconds up to 15 minutes
  • This means, it will copy items from your Desktop to a Folder called sterCleanDesk located in your Home Directory.
  • NOTE: After this copy process, the items from the Desktop will be erased, but you may select to leave the files on the Desktop!

What's new in this version:

  • Sorts files after suffixes in different folders
  • Application does not start at first launch!

Stripped resource forks from all the desktop docs it immediately removed upon startup.

Still - I think there are more sophisticated or simpler solutions around. e.g. try "Screenshot Helper" to cover you desktop mess...

Even Aliases won’t work after this utility has completed it’s job... a few seconds after launch, I decided not to step in any further experiences with this app.

Message to the author: At least you should change the defaults to NOT automatically start the job at first launch. We are not in the pure unix world where applications will do their job without asking and choice.
