PatchBurn CommentaryRe-launching desktop - Version: 4.0.5, 10/31/2007 06:55PM PST

The downloaded zip file is good for relaunching desktop. Every time you click on it, it just relaunching your desktop for you and nothing else.

Can't even contact the developer coz his email is 'closed'.

This is crap!

I just purchased a Pioneer DVR 109 & read that I needed PatchBurn 3 to get it to fully work w/ my Mac (OSX 10.3) I've downloaded 3, but when i try to run it, it's expired! I downloaded 4 - since 3 said to download the latest version - but it's only for Mac 10.4

HELP!!!!!!

PatchBurn CommentaryPS: Tip for fitting Pioneer DVR IIID (with help from PatchBurn) - Version: 4.0.1, 11/14/2006 11:54PM PST

This is a great drive, very cheap, easy to fit to G4 MDD etc. Note howeverr, you have to remove and discard the front lip of the drive tray or it won't work in the Mac. It's easy, just have a close look and you'll see that it clips off readily. I had to pllug the G4 power cable into the drive to get it to open so I could do this, if there's a way to do it without powering up I'd be interested to know.

Helped me to install my new Pioneer drive in my ole MDD G4. Sweet.
I have a new policy of kicking in a few bucks for cool help like this but as Christian Moeller's paypal link is in German, I'm a wee bit lost, and there's no other contact info.

PatchBurn CommentaryList of supported drives? - Version: 4.0.1, 7/25/2006 09:59PM PST

Central Scrutinizer--2008
I checked out the PatchBurn site, but I couldn't find a list of supported drives. I plan to purchase a DVD burner for an older Powermac, and found a couple priced VERY reasonably, but I want to be sure PatchBurn will support any drive I buy.

Anyone know where to find a list of supported drives?

PatchBurn ReviewChange Date to Use Expired Patchburns - Version: 4.0.1, 6/3/2006 09:36AM PST

Mil Mascaras
I had an isue whereby I had to use a Patchburn that expired on June 1st, on June 1st. Ran it the first time, and it gave me an expiration notice, didnt allow me to continue. Developer was one day away from releasing this next version... I changed the Date on the affected Macs Date&Time System Preference (set it back one year, didnt even need to logoout/restart), and Patchburn again worked beautifully (like it always does). So remember, only the installer expires, NOT what it does.
