Bwana Troubleshooting ReportBold text does not seem to work - Version: 2.6, 4/16/2009 01:46AM PST

The change to bold from red text does not seem to work (all text appears plain, without highlight). I went back to version 2.3. I think red was a better idea. Does anybody know where I can get version 2.4 ?

Bwana ReviewBwana Kudos - Version: 2.3, 12/11/2007 05:29AM PST

Bwana is extremely useful, helpful, etc and beautiful.
The developer is really paying attention to comments and very responsive in his help.

I had a problem running 2.3 in Firefox 2.0.0.11 on Mac OS X 10.5.1.
I posted the problem and within a few hours received a reply,
I applied the solution and in a few minutes Bwana was up was working again.

Thanks for a great Bwana and thanks to Conor!

Great product! Fast and efficient. I love simple utilities that provide an elegant solution and this does just that. The man pages are full of excellent information, and most often can be quickly viewed in the console. Larger, more intricate man pages, sometimes require closer scrutiny. How much more elegant can it be than to simply type man:bash in a OmniWeb, Firefox, Camino, or Safari window and have the man pages come up as a formatted file for easy viewing? As another has mentioned, I execute it from the command line, but it works just as well when typed in the address bar. Nice work, and highly recommended!

This version is snappier. I normally live in the terminal, but I like the display and the colorization of the text. I use a simple function to run it from the command line:
sman () {
        open -a Safari man:$1
}

Thanks for making this and making it available for free.

Bwana ReviewFive Stars for Bwana - Version: 1.9, 10/14/2006 07:23PM PST

Simply the Best.....

Five Stars for Bwana for putting the man-pages at your
fingertips, with crosslinks and really MacIntosh like.
I was looking for such a utility since years. Sure one can
read the man pages in thr terminal. But now it is far more
elegant and spot-on. Thanks to the developer.
And concerning security...........I couldn't care less.
