Product Description:

What is Machete?:
Machete is a collection of php, perl, and Applescripts that allow you to enjoy your music anywhere there is a web browser. It provides a pretty front end with basic search and play functions for your music collection. And no, you don't have to know what any of this is to enjoy it, that's the beauty! The website is hosted right off your machine using the power of Mac OS X and Apache. If you have a complex Apache setup and you don't want the auto-installer monkeying with it, I suggest you install manually, skipping things where needed. If you're a regular user and you don't know what this Apache thing is that I keep going on about, don't worry. The installer is for you.

What's new in this version:

Leopard support, universal binary installer, text encoding fixes, support for downloading entire albums, flash plugin option (for Wii browser, etc)

There was a small bug present in the installer that would cause it to throw up some non-fatal errors in uninstall, reject certain types of path names, and fail display non-roman characters in song names in some cases. These issues have been fixed as of 10:40am EST, 11/9/04

Why the darn does rotten APPLE products ask for an original password when
no one can remmber that kind of unnecesary info?

All the pranks notwithstanding, could you kindly direct me as to what to do since I got as far as the fancy-looking cherry collor install page and entered
all passwords used so far connected with DUMB supplier APPLE.
